The much awaited Chal Mera Putt 3 starring Amarinder Gill and Simi Chahal has finally released theatrically worldwide. Just a month after the release of Chal Mera Put 2, the third installment continues the legacy of comedy.
Chal Mera Put 3 had high expectations from the people and it was being speculated that it will be the last part of the series which will eventually end the three-film long drama with ample amount of comedy. The story of the series does not seem to end.
Chal Mera Put is a name that has a master of comedy. As always, the hilarious pairing of Butta (Akram Udas) and Tabrez (Nasir Chinyoti) have given the film a dose of laughter to keep the audience hooked.
Advocate Bilal Randhawa (Jaffrey Khan) is a gem of a character. Whenever the actor is on screen you can do nothing but laugh at his hilarious satirical comedy.
Chaudhary Shamsher (Iftikhar Thakur) has appeared in a different form this time. He was already the house of comedy and has raised his level with the third part of the film. The combo of Billa (Gurshabad) and Bikkar Chacha (Hardeep Gill) is also superb.
The film stars Jinder (Amarinder Gill) and Savi (Simi Chahal). However, the latest addition to the list, Channa Saab (Sajan Abbas) has failed to deliver as per the expectations. His dialogue delivery and especially the character feel disturbing at times.
Simi Chahal’s character is different. Be it her love story with Jinder or her acting after the film’s hidden twist, she has been utterly brilliant. His character adds to the story.
There is a big twist in the story of Jinder and Savi’s marriage. Though the audience’s favorite couple gets married, but not in the way they expected. The film takes a turn from that point, the comedy turns into an emotional drama. At that time there are scenes that make the audience mesmerized by the amazing performances of the actors.
Especially a scene where Amarinder Gill is talking to Simi Chahal, but the latter can neither listen nor answer. It breaks your heart to see the lovely couple in such a condition and their acting adds more fulfillment to it. There are many such wonderful scenes in the film.
While the audience expected the film to end the story and end with Jinder-Savi’s wedding, it was not the case. It has an inconclusive ending that makes the audience wonder if there will be a second part! There is also a part in the post credits scene where all the characters get old and the couple gets happily married, but not much of it happens.
Overall, this film full of great comedians in every character does not fail to give a comical aspect but the story seems to be very loose. The music of the film is also amazing. When you have Amarinder Gill, how can you expect it not to be spectacular? The direction of Janjot has also been excellent and some scenes will give you a dose of laughter while some are enough to shed your tears.
However, it has not focused on the ‘lifestyles of international students’ that it was known to deliver, but has instead focused more on the marriage of the main characters. Still, Chal Mera Put 3 is a must watch for the stellar performances of the actors.
