Clint Eastwood, 91, is easily one of the oldest people to have both starred and directed in a feature film, and in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he revealed some of his quick-witted thoughts about his latest endeavours.
When asked how his age related to his current work, Eastwood replied, “I never think about it.” I don’t want to know anything if I’m not the same guy. I’m not sure I like the new guy. “I might think to myself, ‘What am I doing with this idiot?'”
Eastwood returns to his archetypal role of a Western movie star in Cry Macho, throwing a punch or two and even riding a horse for the first time since 1992’s Unforgiven.
Eastwood explained how he felt about riding a horse after such a long time: “The wrangler was worried.” ‘Be careful, be careful now,’ she was saying. She was afraid I’d end up on my backside.
“However, if you treat the horse like a friend, he will take care of you.” Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho will be available in theatres and on HBO Max in the United States and Canada on September 17th, 2021.
