After the teaser, the title track of the film ‘Kismat 2’ is finally out. Painting a picture of heartache when love does not meet its fate, the song is a sad romantic melody that has tried to summarize the entire film in a matter of minutes.

Sung by B Praak, the song is set in the backdrop of Bani’s (Sargun Mehta) wedding. At the ceremony, Shiva (Amy Virk) is the only spectator, while Bani prepares to embark on a new journey with her groom (Jani).
It is shown in this song that this time too Shiv and Bani have parted ways with fate. Though Bani tries to keep a tough face and goes ahead with the wedding plans, the pain in her eyes is more than visible.
Also Shiva’s heartache is expressed through his parting words when he says – “If he keeps you happy I will be happy, but if he doesn’t I will be happy”.
Last year we saw many different genres in the Punjabi film industry, but only a few of them managed to earn huge numbers at the box office. One such film was Jagdeep Sidhu’s Kismet starring Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta. Based on the incomplete love story of both, this film brought tears to the eyes of many.
Now, the makers are all set for the sequel of this blockbuster.
Director Jagdeep Sidhu confirmed that he is making his debut with the sequel of Qismat. In an exclusive conversation with Ghant Punjab, the person revealed, “After the huge success of Qismat, I started getting many calls from reputed producers offering to make the sequel. I already had this idea in my mind because according to me There is a huge scope for this kind of cinema in our industry. Keeping this fact in mind, I was also sure that I will work with the same team if the sequel is to be made. So, now we are going to start with Qismat 2. We’re starting with the same team.”
Talking about the main starcast, Jagdeep confirmed that Sargun Mehta and Amy Virk will be the lead pair again. He said that though the film is in its early stages but we will make an official announcement soon.
The person further clarified that the film will start from a new page and will not continue from where Kismet ended.
The onscreen pairing of Ammi Virk and Sargun Mehta has received immense love from the masses and now, it will be interesting to see what the sequel of Qismat will have in store for Punjabi film lovers. We expect it to be as dynamic and touching as the first one.
